The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced 35 scholarships for outstanding students in various fields from September 18, 2026, to September 19. The scholarships are reserved for students who have excelled in their studies and are expected to help improve higher education in the country.
According to a ministry statement, the scholarships target students who have shown outstanding academic performance. Applications will open next week, and the ministry will announce further details on the requirements and procedures.
Dr. “Mohammed Abdullah”, Minister of Higher Education, said the scholarships are part of the ministry’s efforts to encourage students to achieve further academic success. He said the ministry would provide the necessary support to nominated students to ensure their success in their studies.
The ministry also confirmed that the scholarships will include financial assistance for students as part of the government’s plan to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030 by improving the quality of education in the country.
The ministry launched a similar program to support outstanding students on September 15, 2020. It achieved notable success in increasing the proportion of students enrolling in higher education. These initiatives are expected to continue supporting students and strengthening the future of education in the country.
The number of scholarships offered this year is higher than in previous years, as the ministry seeks to increase investment in higher education to ensure better educational opportunities for students.
