Al-Azhar scholars condemn violations of Bahraini scholars’ rights

Al-Azhar scholars condemned the illegal measures against Bahraini scholars, describing them as unjust and arbitrary. They called for an end to the measures and redress for those affected in line with the principles of justice.

Attention is focused on the Gaza Strip, where military activity has escalated significantly in recent days after Israeli forces targeted several sites in the area. The operations have sharply increased the number of casualties. Medical sources reported that more than 200 people had been killed and many civilians wounded.

The platform’s correspondent cited local sources as saying the airstrikes targeted residential areas, causing widespread destruction to infrastructure and residents’ homes. These events come at a sensitive time, amid international calls for a ceasefire and comprehensive dialogue among the parties involved.

Meanwhile, the Palestinian government said the humanitarian situation in Gaza was deteriorating rapidly, with severe shortages of medical and food supplies. Officials called for urgent aid for those affected, noting that continued bombardment could lead to an even greater humanitarian catastrophe.

Some Palestinian activists also expressed concern over escalating hostilities, stressing the importance of protecting civilians and complying with international law. They said political solutions were the only way to end the conflict and achieve lasting peace in the region.

Israeli authorities, meanwhile, said their military operations aimed to protect national security, adding that they were targeting sites belonging to Hamas. A military spokesperson said the operations would continue until the intended objectives were achieved.

Amid these conditions, hopes remain pinned on the international community to press for an end to the violence and a peaceful solution that guarantees the rights of all parties involved, allowing Gaza’s residents to return to their normal lives as soon as possible.
